Game Day Advertising

Yesterday I went to a Red Sox game and of course I could not hold myself back from all of the advertisements.  Not only could you get your brand or logo printed around the stadium but you could also sell your pizza, such as Papa John's, or even the lawn care services, such as Scott's.  After sitting at the game yesterday and truly taking in all of the advertisements that you can simply not avoid I thought about how these companies that did make their way into Fenway Park, or any park/field for that matter, are truly luck.  That is such a huge way to raise awareness to your product.  Frank's hotdogs are being sold across the stadium until the 7th inning.  If you were someone who has never had a Frank's hotdog and decided to get one and ended up loving it you could go to your local grocery store and pick up a package for your family.  I know this concept is something that we are all used to as it has been around for years but after sitting there and taking it all in I thought about how great of an opportunity that would be for your brand or company.

Engagement Marketing

Degree Men Deodorant

Degree is starting a new advertising technique called engagement marketing.  They are going to use their mans deodorant product and create a series of videos that online social gamers can watch.  Every time these gamers watch another advertisement video from the series they can potentially earn points for their games online.  This is another great incentive to get your customers involved while learning more about your product.  In the article above it stated that about 95% of people who view these videos are more likely to go buy a degree product or share this video which will allow for further viewers and comments.  I believe that degree is really taking a great step into a new and upcoming movement as social gaming is becoming more and more popular.  Many other companies should take part in engagement marketing as it seems to be highly successful for Degree.
